Many are the bizarre acts that cheating partners are subjected to after being caught red-handed. There was a case in Zimbabwe where a journalist was subjected to a barbaric treatment after being caught committing adultery.
A journalist was humiliated and beaten thoroughly after having a discreet affair with a married woman. Clayton Masekesa, the unfortunate journalist, was unlucky after he was caught red-handed by the woman’s husband in their matrimonial bed. He was beaten and forced to roll several times in the mad as he was recorded live on Facebook.
The journalist works with the Newsday newspaper, he was caught at the house of Soul Tom, a Mutare City Football Club Secretary general. Soul Tom is the Boss of Mutare, a famous soccer team in Zimbabwe. It was stated that the journalist was a fun of the Secretary-General and always wrote favourable stories of the Football Boss, while he paid himself by screwing his wife.
People reacted to the act on social media, saying that it was wrong to treat the man in that cruel way despite him committing adultery.
According to Lawyer Miriam Majome, she said that the videos recorded were unacceptable and the act was barbaric. She also added that “Adultery is not a crime, so there was nothing to report to the police.”
Adultery is not a crime so there was nothing to report to the police. There are civil remedies open to the husband such as adultery damages & divorce. This barbarism is unacceptable. Generally the increasing lawlessness in this country is disappointing.
