Most people prefer to keep their sex and loves life private. But if you are a popular person or politician, this is literally impossible.
It is almost always inevitable that if a famous Kenyan has dirty linen, it will get exposed to the public
1 Asbel Kiprop
Prominent Kenyan athlete Asbel Kiprop, whose raunchy video with a friend’s wife was recently leaked on social media forums.
After the video hit our airwaves, the runner was forced to call the man and confess to his sins.
Asbel Kiprop is not the only prominent Kenyan to get caught with his pants down. Several other people, including high-ranking politicians, have had to deal with embarrassing details about their private lives.
2 Raphael Tuju and his former wife
Like Asbel Kiprop Tuju’s wife, Ruth Akinyi, was caught having an affair with the former Cabinet Minister’s bodyguard, Tony Ogunda.
Tuju was informed of the affair by Esther Ogunda, the bodyguard’s wife. Tuju subsequently moved to court seeking to divorce his wife of 27 years.
The bodyguard later died under mysterious circumstances.
3 Martha Karua
The former presidential aspirant is not new to controversy similar to Asbel Kiprop. Several years ago, a local newspaper published an expose claiming that the former Gichugu Member of Parliament was dating a well-known bishop. The expose went on to say that the said man of the cloth is a member of a top university in the country.
After the story came out, Ms. Karua sued the newspaper for defamation and won a hefty compensation package.
4 Mutula Kilonzo Junior
A woman took the Makueni Senator to court seeking upkeep for her 3-year-old daughter, whom she claimed was fathered by the prominent lawyer.
The case is still ongoing, as the woman waits to see whether the court will compel the Senator to cough up the Ksh. 259,000 monthly maintenance that she wants.
5 Bishop Margaret Wanjiru
During her time as assistant minister for housing, Ms. Wanjiru found herself under fire for saying that her status in life could allow to be married to a jigger-infested man.
She made the comments in an effort to distance herself from her estranged husband, Zachary Kamangu, who claimed that he sired her two sons.
