1 The idea of being employed
Being employed in Kenya is not a so bad idea. As many other things, it gets bad when one clings to it, when one gets comfortable - when one gives up on the path they love in fear of losing the peanuts from a boss. But in the room of being employed by someone, there is a door to employ someone. Think about it.
You can be a millionaire and jealous of a poor man's wife, or a poor man jealous of a millionaire's success. The object causing jealousy is not the issue. Your mind is the real deal. Jealousy kills your peace of mind. Here, the more content you are, the richer you are. What the next person has is driving us mad. It is not necessary, it is not worth it.
3 Poor Health services
Unfortunately, a disturbing number of people in Kenya have health problems. Health is the wealth of all wealth. You cannot even enjoy the pleasure of having a happy family if you are in bad health. Do all you can to be in good health and be prayerful because we are living in a world of all kinds of accidents. (Watch the news tonight to see one or two)
I take this chance to wish all who are sick a quick recovery.
4 Corruption in Kenya
Corruption in Kenya is just one of those problems that seem that won't go away. It is estimated that more than half of our revenue is lost through corruption. If we can somehow fix this as a country we will surely develop faster.
5 Kenyans Laziness
Most Kenyans are in good health and with sober minds but are just lazy. They cannot go to one town, buy a pair of shoes costing 100 Bob and go sale them in the next town for 150 shillings. They cannot go to someone and help them clean their working place and get lunch. They rather chill and beg. It seems their comfort dwells in poverty. And so they stay poor.
6 Greed and stinginess
I always want more for myself and I can't afford to give out a penny. See, we are all going to die and there is no end to acquiring. This way I am poor in love and contentment. I am a dead man walking. Life is all about love. So here, the more you love, the wealthier you are. Think about the next person. It cannot get easier than this my friend!
7 We are people of little faith
Having faith does not only mean Muslim and Christian. You can and should have faith in yourself and in what you can do. If you don't have something, and you don't have faith you can get it one day, you are done totally. Being faithless is the climax of poverty. You cannot move a step farther, sorry.
