DNA results from the samples taken from news anchor Jackie Maribe, Joseph Irungu Jowie’s fiancee will determine her fate in the Monica Kimani murder investigation.
According to the Daily Nation, a confidential source close to the investigation revealed that the samples were taken on Friday at the Gigiri Police Station, where Jackie Maribe is currently being held.
The results are expected to be in by Monday, October 8, 2018.
Detectives handling the Monica Kimani’s high-profile murder have so far refused to reveal any details on the ongoing investigation.
By testing the samples collected from Maribe, detectives want to establish whether the news anchor was present at the scene where Monica Kimani was murdered.
Police made the decision after their investigations revealed that Joseph Kimani Irundu aka Jowie, the main suspect in the crime, was in the company of one other person when he allegedly committed the gruesome murder.
DNA samples taken from Jowie have already confirmed that he was at the scene of Ms. Kimani’s murders.
Police are also probing the possibility that Monica’s murder was planned well in advance. This is after it emerged that Irungu used an identity card belonging to a Dominic Bisela to access the deceased’s apartment.
Fresh from throwing shade at Diamond during his birthday, Tanzanian socialite Zari Hassan recently had to put in their place a fan who posted a rude comment on her daughter’s Instagram page.
The fan got into trouble after taking exception with Zari’s use of the term “bipolar” alongside a photo of her daughter.
“Mama said act and sit like a lady. Well, I’m counting fingers before my ‘bipolar’ kicks in,” Zari wrote on her daughter Tiffah’s Instagram account.
When a fan called out Zari and told her that Bipolar disorder is nothing to joke about, Zari asked her to chill out and “have a cup of green tea.”
