1 Carrying too many swimsuits
Before you go on holiday, most people go for swimsuit shopping and buy way too many swimsuits and travel with them . While at the Coast, you end up using one or two swimsuits and convert the rest into sleeping wear when you go back home.
2 Go shopping in swimsuits in Voi
Kenyans travel in their swimsuit as if the moment they get to the coast, they will dive into the ocean. As a result ,you end up spotting many Kenyan travellers in their swimsuits while shopping oat Voi which is rather unecessary .
3 Sharing towels, lotions and pretty much everything
Family and friends get too friendly once on holiday. They will share pretty much everything even though they are always very picky when home.
4 Carrying a book
Carry a book that you will never read instead brush over it and have everyone thinking “he/she is really busy and must be very refined!”
5 Playing games with your younger siblings and cousins
How often do you see an elder brother chasing around their sibling? The heat at the Coast gets the better of many and you will see often see the older ones engaging with their younger siblings, who on they barely give attention on an ordinary day. Do this in the city and your neighbors will post about you on Kilimani Mums.
6 Carry alcohol
People traveling to the coast carry a lot of alcohol in their cars as they head there.I have never understood why given the fact that there are probably as many alcohol shops in coast as there are in Nairobi.
7 Carrying Pillows
Many people stuff their cars with pillows in readiness for the long drive. They often become too much, and you end up sitting on the pillow since you barely have space for yourself to sit.
